  • Candidates must be a citizen of India and permanent resident of Bihar State.
  • Graduation Degree in Library Science: B.Lib / B.Lib.I.Sc / BLIS (Bachelor of Library & Information Science) with minimum 45% marks from any recognized University in India.
  • 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks (i.e., 40% marks required) for SC / ST / EBC / BC / Divyang (PwD) / Female / EWS category candidates.
  • Equivalency certificates for Alim Degree (Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic & Persian University / Bihar State Madrasa Education Board) or Shastri Degree (Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University) along with Library Science degree are valid.
